Sometimes we do things that we think God wants us to do. Like going out to get a job when I knew God didnt want me to. We better think and pray about it first before we make that step. It wasn't what he wanted me
to do, but He used it for His glory. I learned a BIG lesson.
This is a long story so get a cup of coffee and relax as you read this crazy story. I learned from it and maybe you will too.
In Feburary I was in Santa Rosa with my Daughter, Krissy and my son, Danny. We were talking about the saxophone player Kenny G. He has been on my bucket list for years. Danny look Kenny G up on his phone and found out he was going to be in Las Vegas
on April 1st for one night. Krissy said "Mom you have to go, you will be in Southern Ca. around that time for your Reunion." "That would be nice but I won't have the money to go and stay in Vegas or pay for the show." What great Kids I have.
Krissy bought my ticket and Danny bought two nights in Vegas.
March 26th was my 50th year Reunion, I had saved the $50.00 for the ticket. Kenny G. was set up by my kids for April 1st, and April 9th Azusa Now at
the the L.A. Collicium was paid for by my wonderful roommate $25.00....God set this all up. I had friends to go stay with for the 2 weeks in between places to be. God was so good, along with friends and family. I was set. Except I had
no money for gas to get there. This is such a small thing for God, but a Big worry for me. God keeps telling me "no fear or worry." "Ok God I will try." What is wrong with me? If He says it, we better believe it. We are a work
in progress.
March 24th Thursday
God set this up. I was at the Dollar store and I heard my friend Katherine, as we were talking outside I told her that I wasn't sure if I was able to go down south cause I had no money
for gas. I did not tell her this so she would give me money. My thinking was my daughter would put some money on my paypal card for gas. She does that sometimes. Katherine said here is $40.00 the Lord told me to give it to you. Thank
you God and Katherine. Katherine told me later at the Azusa Now, that God told her that day to go to the bank and get some cash, you will see Cheryl and to give her $40.00..She said "Lord she needs so much more for the trip" He said "only give
her 40.00 I will take care of the rest.
Now I have $40.00 for gas and some bread and lunch meat for my trip. The Dollar store comes in handy. I'm set and on my way on Friday morning the 25th of March for a unbelievable
journey. Not knowing what would happen next was exciting and scary at the same time. This was a big step out in faith. But I was at peace knowing God would take care of me.
March 25th Friday
I drove to Bakersfield to
my friend Pam's home. As Pam and I were talking she asked me, "Since you are coming back to stay for a bit would you like to work for me and make $200.00? OH MY!!!! She didn't know I had no money. God is so good. "YES I would love to."
"I will be back on Monday to visit and do the job." I spend the night and headed onto Rancho Cucamonga where my friends Wayne and Mary live. The Reunion was close by. We get ready and go and had a great time seeing old friends
that we grew up with. I spent my 50 and now I really have no money. God and I were the only ones that knew that.
March 28th Monday
I get into the car after saying goodbye to Wayne and Mary. As I'm in
the car in front of their house, I'm praying that God would do a miracle and fill my gas tank up. I didn't think I had enough gas to make it back to Bakersfield. But I was going to drive in faith. I have heard that happening were God puts
gas in someone's tank to get them where they needed to go. So that could happen to me, You think??? Well as I was praying Mary came out and threw some money in my car. ($50.00) I guess God did fill my tank up with the help of my friends.
Again Thank you God, Mary and Wayne.
Now I was on my way back to Bakersfield to visit with Pam and work for her.
The story will continue on the next page as soon as I get back from dinner.
